We are excited to announce that we finally have a logo that will play before our short films and feature productions... as soon as we get there. It was created by Don Carroll, a local graphic designer, who we think is just amazing. He was so patient with us and all of our fifty-zillion changes, right up to the last minute. The original ending had the roller coaster going out of frame somewhere off to the right but Jon suggested that it fly right by the screen and use that as the transition into the ferris wheel. We all thought it was a great idea and as you can see below we kept it.
Don was nice enough to leave the end tentative, so once we figured out what we wanted Jon went ahead and added the black matting and the name using Final Cut Pro. He then used Sound Track Pro to tack on some sound effects and last I put it in Adobe After Effects and added the 8mm film overlay to it.
It will debut at the 2010 UNLV Spring Flicks Film Festival. We’re both so excited. We’re also pumped to start working on our wedding logo that we’ll use at the start or end of our wedding videos and other family oriented productions.
